Research Focus:
The development of an analytical aeroelastic model for chordwise and spanwise flexible flapping wings, and analyzing the aerodynamic performance as a function of wing structural parameters and wing kinematics. She analyzes the coupling between unsteady aerodynamics and flexible flapping wings. Her goal is to understand the effects of flexibility on the performance of flapping flyers in forward flight.

Research Focus:
Aeroacoustics of flapping wing MAVs. He studies the interplay between wing kinematics, unsteady aerodynamics, and the resulting sound and it's directivity. Experiments with a flapper to measure its force generation are conducted. His goal is towards finding ways to reduce the sound produced by flapping wings while not compromising lift production.

Research Focus:
Aerodynamics and flight dynamics of insect-inspired flapping wing micro air vehicles. Research utilizes a coupled Navier-Stokes/flight dynamics solver to determine hover solutions for bio-inspired flapping wing MAVs on Mars. We are looking to provide a robust, reconfigurable aerial vehicle for Mars exploration and reconnaissance.

Research Focus:
Kinematics study, CFD simulation, and evaluation of biomechanics of human locomotion in an underwater treadmill. This would help in evaluating better rehabilitation scenarios for people with gait abnormalities, athletes and also train astronauts for walking in space as walking scenario in an underwater treadmill is close to walking in zero gravity because of buoyancy.
